07年8月，维多利亚自己单飞离开Dead Disco，开始自己的音乐生涯，她还翻唱了呛女生（GirlS Aloud）威猛乐队（Wham）和麦莉·赛勒斯（Miley Cyrus)的歌曲，并把它们放在了Youtube和Myspace上。

在一年的时间内，她与Dead Disco乐队的朋友 Greg Kurstin联系，并且决定减少一张专辑的歌曲创作量，于是维多利亚开始着手Hands这张专辑的录制了。

相关评价

从大体来说，这张专辑获得了很好的评价，在 Metacritic（一个出名的音乐评价网站）中获得70分高分，在MusicOMH网站的采访中，Michael Cragg 认为它是极棒的一个流行创作专辑，Gigwise网站的David Renshaw认为Hands能与呛女生，嘎嘎夫人和莉莉艾伦的音乐相媲美。唱片里的Earthquake像雨花般的synth lead把灵魂打得粉碎，听足成年的旧歌Stuck On Repeat再次聆听更是无比亢奋。睡房里不禁想跟着高声歌唱一翻，动容到不止的Tune Into My Heart，还有全碟最让人喜出望外的电子探戈Ghosts，精彩绝伦！synth声夺人，顷刻像堕入下着暴雨的大海中去！是一张很好听的Electropop专辑。

提到最近热火朝天的电子舞曲类女歌手，除了刚刚提名英国水星奖的La Roux，再就是这位化名为Little Boots的Victoria Hesketh了。相对于业界较为赞扬的La Roux，更显平易近人的Little Boots则在民间有着较好的口碑，首先她娇小的体型就首先让人感到可亲，再者她在流行舞曲这一块做得更为主流和大众，最后则是因为她早前的乐队Dead Disco在最初就已经拥有大量的拥趸。《Hands》这张个人专辑的发行是其彻底脱离乐团发展的标志，十二首风格统一的作品突出了她的个人形象，以电音舞曲天后Kylie Minogue为偶像的Victoria Hesketh可能还有很长的一段路要走，但在处女碟当中有着一点比Kylie Minogue要强，那就是她其实是一个独立的创作艺人，整张专辑(包括前后出版的一系列EP作品)均是她个人创作而出的作品，不过，复古的迪斯科节奏、俏皮可爱的声线、时不时撩拨心弦的贝司段落以及Little Boots健康向上的形象，让这张《Hands》比同时期另外一些电子舞曲专辑更适合低龄乐迷。
