近年来围绕气候变化对旅游业的影响、旅游业能源消费与碳排放，旅游规划等进行研究。主持国家自然基金、国家科技支撑项目专题等研究项目多项。近期以第一作者或通讯作者在SCI或SSCI刊物发表论文6篇。主要参与国家旅游局“秦岭山区旅游发展规划纲要”；“南海（三沙市）旅游规划”；“环微山湖经济发展规划”等旅游及区域发展规划项目30余项。
担任国家自然科学基金通讯评审专家，以及国际著名旅游研究期刊Tourism Management，国际SCI刊物Abstract and Applied Analysis，以及旅游学刊、资源科学等国内核心期刊审稿人。
