概述

Sacrament of Wilderness是芬兰交响金属乐队Nightwish的第二张单曲，也是来自专辑Oceanborn发行的第一首单曲。

单曲的封面绘画使用了与Oceanborn和Wishmaster的封面同样的猫头鹰。

在短短几周内这张单曲就达到了芬兰排行榜的第一位。它与之后同样排名第一的单曲Walking in the Air被授予“金唱片”的名誉（发行量超过5000张）。

演唱会

这首歌从他们2003年的World Tour of the Century演唱会后就消失在演唱会曲单中，但2007年年末，新主唱Anette Olzon再次演绎了这首歌。这首是少有的从他们前两张专辑中存活到现在的演唱会曲目。

现任贝斯手Marco Hietala表示不喜欢这首曲目：

“我没觉得这首歌有什么不好的地方。这首歌的旋律能用数学的方法推测出来，而别的歌更令人兴奋因为它们不能被推测出来。当然这还是一首很好的演唱会曲目。”

这首歌的MV是1998年11月13日在Kitee（乐队的故乡）录制的现场演唱视频。除了Sami，乐队成员都以短发造型出现。此MV作为Bonus出现在Nightwish的第一张DVD《From Wishes to Eternity》(2001)中。
