剧情简介
弗兰克是个规规矩矩的动物园管理人，但并不是一个健康的家伙。他自己知道这一点，他年轻的女儿沙恩和女儿的老师博伊德夫人也知道这一点。某天，贪嘴的他误吃掉一只被猴子口水污染过的鸡蛋，镜头跟着鸡蛋来到他的咽喉，肠胃……于是在弗兰克的体内，更准确地说，在他的血液里，发现了一个叫作奥兹的白血球。和所有的白血球一样，奥兹的工作就是每天在血液里不停地巡视，对付那些敢于滋扰人体的细菌啦，病毒啦什么的，别看肩负这么艰巨的任务，但奥兹可不是个循规蹈矩的人，不，应该说不是个循规蹈矩的白血球，他天性浪荡散漫，最抗拒那些条条框框的规定纪律，就喜欢证明自己是个与众不同的“个性”细胞。弗兰克-德托里的身体越变越糟，就连他的好朋友鲍勃也察觉到了他的异样。很多人看到弗兰克，都觉得他再也不是以前那个强壮的贴海报的人了。
也许是为了约束他，奥兹的上司派给他一个新搭档——专门照本宣科的新型感冒药片德雷克斯，两个性情习惯截然不同的家伙硬凑到一起当然少不了吵架拌嘴，就在他们互不相让的时候，弗兰克吃下的那个苹果带来了一种危险的病毒斯瑞克司，这个威力强大的病毒在弗兰克体内肆意横行，不可一世。不幸的是，他和他的搭档德雷克斯——一种12小时作用的止痛感冒胶囊只能为富兰克止痛一小会。
为了尽到自己身为一个白血球的的神圣责任，为了挽救富兰克的生命，奥兹和德雷克斯决定先放下对彼此的成见，携手并肩共抗外敌。他们两个人同生物钟比赛争分夺秒：避开粘液泥浆、清理毒素以及所有你想象不到的各种工作。这是份很脏的工作，但是这些抗体必须去做。因为每个身体都需要英雄。与此同时，弗兰克因为身体不适去看医生，他的医生也正竭力想找出到底是什么导致了弗兰克的病症。

幕后制作
法莱利兄弟这次终于把他们的“魔掌”伸到了动画领域，在这部真人结合动画的影片中，兄弟俩著名的“体液笑料”可谓是发挥得出神入化，打喷嚏放屁等等傻瓜幽默层出不穷，看完后人们或许会奇怪何以这两个人会对这种恶心题材如此热衷？这部片子最初拿到了一个PG-13的评级，影评人担心如果有家长带孩子去收看这部《终极细胞战》时会产生某种不良影响，华纳公司权衡利弊，为了占领暑假这个孩子们最为活跃的时期，决定将片子中太粗俗过分的地方做出相应删改，这才最终得到了PG级。
在1999年推出了广受好评的长篇动画电影《钢铁巨人》之后，华纳公司十分看好动画市场，他们想到了一个很能出彩的创意，将人体内的细胞赋予生命，让他们有思想有性格，成为单独的个体，不过看看剧情，眼明的观众恐怕会一下子联想到N多电影的情节，《人体旅行》、《致命武器》、《傀儡人生》、《谁陷害了兔子罗杰》乃至最近的《15分钟》，把这些熟悉的情节放到卡通形象上到底是个什么味道，只有让观众自己去体味一番了。华纳自己倒是显得相当有信心，片子还没公映，华纳就宣布买断13个该片的电视剧单元，只等电影上映完再到电视上捞一把。
本片的制作开始时，有传言说好莱坞金童威尔·史密斯将为片中的动画男主角奥兹配音，但是在正式公布名单的时候，这个名字换成了克里斯·洛克，不过是看过样片的观众都对洛克的表现很满意，认为他的声音更有跳跃感，更活泼，同角色的性格十分配合。而给反面人物——病毒斯瑞克司配音是的黑人男星劳伦斯·费舍伯恩，大家对他在《黑客帝国》里饰演的黑客领袖一定印象犹新，他的声音浑厚深沉而内敛，这次费舍伯恩将用声音扮演一个阴险狡诈的反角，想来也很值得影迷们期待。
